Soccer Game Preview: Andrews vs. Cherokee

The Andrews Wildcats will face off against the Cherokee Braves at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Friday just wasn't the day for Andrews' offense. They came up short against Swain County on Friday, falling 9-0. Andrews have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Meanwhile, Cherokee also failed to score in their most recent game. They lost 9-0 to Summit Charter Academy on Tuesday.

Cherokee's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9-1. As for Andrews, their loss dropped their record down to 5-8-1.

Andrews got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in March against Cherokee by a conclusive 4-1 score. Will the Wildcats repeat their success, or do the Braves have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
