Basketball Recap: Syracuse Academy of Science Takes a Loss

Syracuse Academy of Science was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were outmatched by the Christian Brothers Academy Brothers and fell 69-35. While losing is never fun, the Atoms can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 516th, while the Brothers are ranked 216th).

Syracuse Academy of Science's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Christian Brothers Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.

Syracuse Academy of Science has already played their next match (against Onondaga), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Christian Brothers Academy will head out to take on Indian River at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Indian River will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something Christian Brothers Academy surely won't give up without a fight.
