Basketball Recap: Franklinton Comes Up Short

Franklinton suffered their biggest defeat since December 19, 2024 on Friday. They came up short against the Woodlawn-B.R. Panthers, falling 78-53. The Demons haven't had much luck with the Panthers recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.

Woodlawn-B.R. was led to victory by Kelinee Stone and Triston Brown. Stone dropped a double-double on 30 points and ten rebounds, while Brown went 6 for 10 from beyond the arc on his way to 26 points and seven boards. Stone is becoming a predictor of Woodlawn-B.R.'s success: when he posts at least 20 points the team is 9-3 (and 4-5 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Kaleb Brandon, who posted nine points in addition to seven assists and six steals.

Franklinton's loss dropped their record down to 12-11. As for Woodlawn-B.R., their record is now 13-8.
