Volleyball Game Preview: Marion Giants vs. Muncie Central Bearcats

Marion hasn't had much luck against Muncie Central recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Giants will take on the Bearcats at 10:00 a.m. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Marion came up short against Hamilton Heights on Thursday, falling 3-0.

The match finished with set scores of 25-0, 25-1, 25-9.

Meanwhile, Muncie Central lost 3-0 to Muncie Burris on Tuesday. The loss continues a trend for the Bearcats in their meetings with the Owls: they've now lost nine in a row.

The final score came out to 25-15, 25-20, 25-15.

Marion's defeat dropped their record down to 2-25. As for Muncie Central, their loss dropped their record down to 13-11.

Marion couldn't quite get it done against Muncie Central when the teams last played back in October of 2023 as they fell 2-0. Can the Giants avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
