Softball Recap: Saltillo Has No Trouble Against Sulphur Bluff

Saltillo won the last time they faced Sulphur Bluff and things went their way on Monday too. The Lions were the clear victors by a 16-5 margin over the Bears. The result was nothing new for the Lions, who have now won four contests by 11 runs or more so far this season.

The victory got Saltillo back to even at 5-5. As for Sulphur Bluff, they dropped their record down to 2-8 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Saltillo is set to face off against their familiar foe Bland at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with the Lions sitting on four straight wins and the Tigers on seven. Meanwhile, Sulphur Bluff will square off against rival Cooper at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
