Baseball Game Preview: Metro Tech Knights vs. Alhambra Lions

For the second straight game, Metro Tech will face off against Alhambra. The Knights will square off against the Lions at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Metro Tech has struggled recently with three losses in a row, while Alhambra will arrive with three straight wins.

Metro Tech is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 13 runs on Thursday, they were much more limited against Alhambra on Tuesday. They lost 16-1 to the Lions.

For Alhambra's part, the team relied heavily on Nicolas Reyes, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI. Those two stolen bases gave Reyes a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Omar Marrufo, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4.

Alhambra always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .588. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .515 or higher in three consecutive matchups.
