Soccer Game Preview: Cy-Fair vs. Bellaire

A feisty cat fight will be fought as Cy-Fair challenge Bellaire at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. Bellaire will need to watch out since Cy-Fair has now posted at least four goals in their last three contests.

Cy-Fair barely beat Northbrook the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Everything went Cy-Fair's way against Northbrook two weeks ago as Cy-Fair made off with a 5-0 victory. Given the Bobcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 163rd, while the Raiders are ranked 369th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, after soaring to seven goals the game before, Bellaire was a bit more limited in their match on Tuesday. They came up short against Lake Creek, falling 5-1.

Bellaire's goal came courtesy of Ahava Babajanov, who's now up to 17 this season.

Cy-Fair is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 41 goals over those ten contests. Bellaire's loss dropped their record down to 14-7.

Cy-Fair was able to grind out a solid win over Bellaire in their previous meeting back in March of 2024, winning 2-0. Does Cy-Fair have another victory up their sleeve, or will Bellaire turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
