Basketball Game Preview: Grace Christian Crusader vs. The Rock Academy Lions

The Grace Christian Crusader will face off against The Rock Academy Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Tuesday, Grace Christian came up short against Oaks and fell 48-38. The defeat continues a trend for the Crusader in their meetings with the Mighty Oaks: they've now lost six in a row.

Despite their loss, Grace Christian saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Thad Shuler, who dropped a double-double with 17 points and ten boards, was perhaps the best of all. Shuler has been hot, having posted ten or more rebounds the last five times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Zechariah Griffith, who posted seven points and six boards.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when The Rock Academy faced off against Springwood back in November. The Lions took a blow against the Wildcats, falling 97-17.

Grace Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for The Rock Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.

Grace Christian strolled past The Rock Academy in their previous meeting back in November by a score of 44-27. Will the Crusader repeat their success, or do the Lions have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
