While Rushville's victory against Waldron wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Lions sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the Mohawks on Saturday. The Lions haven't had any issues with the Mohawks recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.
Rushville had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 25-19, 15-13.
KELSEY MORGAN paced Rushville's offense, picking up 11 kills. MORGAN got some help from LACEY CHASE and her 24 assists. CHASE was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Rushville's win bumped their record up to 9-11. As for Waldron, their loss ended a three-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-14.
