Volleyball Recap: Goshen Homeschool Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Victory

Goshen HomeSchool entered their tilt with Fort Wayne Canterbury on Thursday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They put the hurt on the Cavaliers with a sharp 3-0 win. The Blue Blazers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Cavaliers, too.

While Goshen HomeSchool might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Fort Wayne Canterbury scored at least 21 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-23, 25-21.

Kate Russell paced Goshen HomeSchool's offense, picking up 12 kills. Russell got some help from Hannah Ostrom and her 29 assists. Ostrom was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Despite the loss, Fort Wayne Canterbury still got an impressive performance from Caroline Hirschy, who had 13 digs and one assist.

Goshen HomeSchool's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Fort Wayne Canterbury, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Goshen HomeSchool has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against Elkhart Christian Academy on the 23rd. As for Fort Wayne Canterbury, they will take on Lakewood Park Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Cavaliers' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
