Volleyball Recap: Midway Comes Up Short

Fans were treated to a battle of the Panthers on Saturday. Midway fell 2-0 to Liberty Hill. Midway was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Liberty Hill apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in August of 2016.

Liberty Hill's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Addison Betzen, who had 19 assists and four digs. Betzen has been hot for a while, having posted 17 or more assists the last 11 times she's played.

Midway's loss dropped their record down to 16-9. As for Liberty Hill, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-8 record this season.

Midway will host Lorena at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Liberty Hill, they will face off against Georgetown at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
