Softball Recap: Ralls Comes Up Short

Ralls lost against Abernathy back in March of 2021, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Jackrabbits took a 26-21 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Antelopes. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Tuesday (12), the Jackrabbits still had to take the loss.

Ralls got a massive performance out of Natalie Johnson, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Destiny Garza, who got on base in five of her six plate appearances with one home run, five runs, and two RBI.

Ralls' loss dropped their record down to 10-13-1. As for Abernathy, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season.

While Ralls had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
