Chapel Hill takes loss despite strong efforts from Ben Cohen Vogel and Andrew Herring

Recap: Chapel Hill Tigers vs. Hillside Hornets

After a string of three wins, the Chapel Hill Tigers's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell to Hillside 54-49. Chapel Hill has not had much luck with Hillside recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.

Despite the defeat, Chapel Hill had strong showings from Andrew Herring, who scored ten points, and Ben Cohen Vogel, who scored ten points. Cohen Vogel is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for four games straight.

Jayde Braswell continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Hillside, scoring 20 points along with four steals. Another player making a difference was TJ Ray, who scored nine points along with six rebounds.

Chapel Hill's defeat dropped their record down to 14-4. As for Hillside, their victory was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-5.

Chapel Hill will head out on the road to take on East Chapel Hill at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. East Chapel Hill has now lost eight straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 12. As for Hillside, they the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Jordan at 7:00 p.m. on January 26th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in North Carolina (Jordan is ranked 124th, while Hillside is ranked 114th).
