Basketball Game Preview: Warren Warriors vs. Portsmouth West Senators

The Warren Warriors just played last yesterday, but they'll still welcome the Portsmouth West Senators at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Friday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Warren beat Logan 45-41. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Chieftains recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Warren's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Aubrey Pepper, who posted seven points along with nine rebounds and five steals. Pepper is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least four every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Danica Gates, who went 5-for-12 on her way to 13 points.

Meanwhile, Portsmouth West earned a 44-35 victory over Piketon on Tuesday.

Portsmouth West's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Warren, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
