Volleyball Recap: Fostoria Takes a Loss

Fostoria was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 16th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Lake Flyers, falling 3-0. If the Redmen were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Flyers when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

While Fostoria was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Lake's winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-5, 25-10, 25-12.

Lake was led to victory by Calli Conley and Lucy Boos. Conley had eight digs and three aces, while Boos hit 75% for seven kills and nine aces and six digs. Those seven kills gave Boos a new career-high.

Fostoria's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Lake, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Fostoria will face off against rival Maumee at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Lake is set to take on their familiar foe Genoa Area at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
