Zapata will be up against a hot Roma team: the squad just extended their winning streak to five. Roma sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-2 victory over Nixon on Friday. Zapata's found some homefield redemption this week after a overtime loss to United South on Saturday. Zapata narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Palmview 4-3.
Zapata's win was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Diego Villarreal, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double. That's the most hits Villarreal has posted since back in April of 2024. Another was Ryan Solis, who scored two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
Roma's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-4-1. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Zapata, their win bumped their record up to 6-3.
