Softball Recap: Soddy Daisy Trojans vs. Floyd Central Highlanders
If Soddy Daisy was riding high fresh off their 11-3 takedown of Hixson last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Soddy Daisy fell just short of the Floyd Central Highlanders by a score of 2-1 on Saturday. The Trojans were red-hot at the plate heading into the contest (they scored no less than ten runs in the three games prior), but the Highlanders' pitcher proved too tough.
Izzy Webb spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on five hits.
