Basketball Recap: Groveport-Madison Comes Up Short

Groveport-Madison was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 15th straight loss. They were beaten by the Dublin Jerome Celtics 60-30. The Cruisers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-11.

Angel Ezirim was her usual excellent self, going 7-for-11 to rack up 16 points for Dublin Jerome. Ezirim continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Meadow Ahijevych, who posted eight points and three steals.

Groveport-Madison's defeat dropped their record down to 2-19. As for Dublin Jerome, they pushed their record up to 17-4 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

Coming up, Groveport-Madison is taking a road trip to square off against Pickerington Central at 7:00 p.m. on February 19th. Pickerington Central will roll in looking for their 14th straight win, something Groveport-Madison surely won't give up without a fight. As for Dublin Jerome, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 58-46 loss against Olentangy on the 14th.
