Basketball Recap: New Haven Shamrocks vs. Linn Wildcats
New Haven kicked off their season on the road on Monday and hit a couple of potholes. They took a 39-28 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Linn Wildcats. The Shamrocks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in November of 2023.
Linn found their leader in sophomore Paige Senevey, who made all 6 shots she took racking up 13 points. Another player making a difference was Kiana Hostetler, who had eight points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals.
Linn's victory was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. New Haven will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Washington at 7:00 p.m. on December 9th. After both having extra time off, Linn and Iberia will dust off their jerseys to square off against one another at 7:00 p.m. on December 9th.
