Basketball Game Preview: LEE Volunteers vs. Clark Cougars

LEE is 0-10 against Clark since December of 2015 but things could change on Wednesday. The LEE Volunteers will look to defend their home court against the Clark Cougars at 5:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

LEE is headed into Wednesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 15th straight game on Saturday. They were outmatched by Churchill and fell 65-34. While losing is never fun, the Volunteers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 773rd, while the Chargers are ranked 205th).

Clark has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They were beaten by Johnson 79-44 on Saturday. The Cougars were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 45-17.

Clark's loss dropped their record down to 17-8. As for LEE, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-19.

LEE took a serious blow against Clark in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, falling 62-31. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Clark's Jaden Flemons, who dropped a double-double on 28 points and ten steals.
