Softball Recap: Niskayuna Triumphs

After losing to Schalmont the last time they met, Niskayuna decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Silver Warriors came out on top against the Sabres by a score of 6-2 on Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Silver Warriors.

Niskayuna saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ariah Fiore, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one run. Cammie Murray was another, going 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Niskayuna's record is now 4-2. As for Schalmont, the loss snapped their winning streak at six games and leaves them with a 9-2 record.

Looking ahead, Niskayuna will be playing at home against Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The Silver Warriors' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Spartans have averaged an impressive 6.8 runs per game this season. As for Schalmont, they will venture away from home to square off against Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
