Softball Recap: Coronado Comes Up Short

Coronado managed to slip by Liberty the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Cougars came up short against the Patriots on Tuesday, falling 12-5. That makes it the first time this season the Cougars have let down their home crowd.

Bailey Goldberg was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with one triple, one run, and one double. Alohi Mundon was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and one triple.

The loss was their first at home , dropping their record down to 11-9. As for Liberty, their record is now 9-3-2.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Coronado is set to square off against their familiar foe Palo Verde at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Liberty will take on rival Shadow Ridge at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
