Volleyball Recap: Saturday's Win Is Vianney's Fourth in Last Five Outings

Vianney's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Howell Vikings. That's more bragging rights for the Golden Griffins, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Sam Dore paced Vianney's offense, picking up nine kills. Dore got some help from Connor Johnson and his 16 assists. Finally, Mitchell Jugo kept Vianney's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.

Vianney has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-8-1 record this season. As for Howell, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-13.

Vianney didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-1 victory against Lee's Summit North on the 3rd. As for Howell, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against Eureka on the 3rd.
