Softball Game Preview: Broadway Gobblers vs. Amherst County Lancers

The Broadway Gobblers will take on the Amherst County Lancers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Broadway is coming into the match hot, having won their last nine games.

Broadway is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against East Hardy on Wednesday as they made off with a 17-1 victory. The result was nothing new for the Gobblers, who have now won seven games by six runs or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Amherst County unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Monday. They fell just short of Rustburg by a score of 4-3.

Broadway's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-1. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Amherst County, their loss dropped their record down to 7-5.
