Basketball Recap: C.B. Aycock Continues Home Dominance on Tuesday

C.B. Aycock's game on Tuesday was all tied up 30-30 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They managed a 73-69 victory over the Fike Demons. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Golden Falcons.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead C.B. Aycock to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jarvis Williams, who posted 16 points. Jaiden Williams was another key player, putting up 13 points.

Several Demons players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jamir Loftin, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten assists. The dominant performance also gave Loftin a new career-high in steals (five). Another player making a difference was William Monk, who went 8 of 19 en route to 21 points in addition to six rebounds and three blocks.

C.B. Aycock's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-9. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 78.5 points per game. As for Fike, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. C.B. Aycock will venture away from home to face off against West Johnston at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. As for Fike, they will head out to square off against East Wake at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
