Mankato West had taken Owatonna down for five straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Tuesday. The Scarlets fell 3-1 to the Huskies. The Scarlets' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

While Mankato West had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 20 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-20, 14-25, 25-22.

Mankato West's loss dropped their record down to 11-9. As for Owatonna, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season.
