1. Potomac (Oxon Hill)
2013-14 record: 23-5
Head coach: Renard Johnson

The Wolverines are well-equipped to win their second Class 2A state title in a row. Junior Walter Broddie is one of the nation's top 2016 point guard prospects while 6-foot-6 forward Anthony Smith is back after a productive junior campaign.

2. Calvert Hall (Baltimore)
2013-14 record: 29-8
Head coach: John Bauersfeld



Drew Edwards (14.4 points, 5.9 rebounds per game), Nico Clareth (14.2 points, 4.3 rebounds per game) and 6-9 Evan Phoenix were Calvert Hall's top three scorers a year ago and all three are back.

3. DeMatha (Hyattsville)
2013-14 record: 29-6
Head coach: Mike Jones

The storied Stags were hit hard by transfers in the offseason but Jaelin Grant (6-7, Sr., F) and D.J. Harvey (6-5, So., G/F) should keep them in the hunt for the Washington Catholic Athletic Conference title.

4. Clinton Christian (Upper Marlboro)
2013-14 record: 15-7
Head coach: Shawn Harmon



Develle Phillips, a 6-8 DePaul signee, and versatile 6-7 sophomore wing Melo Eggleston will make Clinton Christian a tough matchup every night out.

5. Gonzaga (Washington, D.C.)
2013-14 record: 10-18
Head coach: Steve Turner

The Eagles struggled a year ago but don't expect that to become a trend. Senior Wake Forest pledge Bryant Crawford and sophomore Chris Lykes give Gonzaga one of the area's top backcourts.
