Softball Recap: Warhill Comes Up Short

Warhill fell victim to Gloucester and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They lost 12-0 to the Dukes. The game marked the first time this season in which the Lions were not able to get on the board.

Warhill is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7. As for Gloucester, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Warhill will take on Grafton at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Lions' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Clippers have averaged an impressive 9 runs per game this season. As for Gloucester, they will face off against New Kent at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
