Basketball Recap: St. Clair County Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

St. Clair County and Hayden squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but St. Clair County had to settle for second. The contest between them and the Hayden Wildcats didn't end well, with the St. Clair County Fighting Saints falling 66-50. While losing is never fun, the Fighting Saints can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 262nd, while the Wildcats are ranked 53rd).

St. Clair County's loss dropped their record down to 10-18. As for Hayden, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 21-6 record this season.

St. Clair County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Hayden, they will challenge Ramsay at 1:30 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Ramsay comes in on 16 and Hayden on four.
