Ja'Kyah Smith had another great game (as she tends to do), going 9-for-13 en route to 27 points. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 17 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Ella Watts, who posted 13 points.

Meanwhile, Hewitt-Trussville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 61-58 heartbreaker at the hands of Mortimer Jordan. On the bright side, the 58- point performance marked the Huskies' highest-scoring game to date.

Bob Jones pushed their record up to 4-1 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.0 points over those games. As for Hewitt-Trussville, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.
