Softball Recap: Desert Hills' Winning Streak Snapped at Ten Games

Desert Hills dropped their record down to 31-3 on Thursday, which also ended the team's ten-game streak of wins. They fell 6-3 to the Bear River Bears. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bears this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 9-3 back in March.

Bailey Lee made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one double. Riley Greene was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

As for Bear River, the victory was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 32-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.1 runs on average over those games.

On Bear River's side, Kate Wilson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on five hits and racked up nine Ks.

On the hitting side, Bostyn Lish was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with one triple and one run. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Aubree Fry, who went 3-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Desert Hills beat Bear River by a score of 3-1 on Friday.
