Football Recap: Sand Creek Takes a Loss

Sand Creek was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were beaten by the Maple Valley Lions 42-12. The Aggies were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lions apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Aj Murdico threw for 69 yards and one touchdown. Wyatt Fox was his top target, picking up 65 receiving yards and one TD.

Sand Creek's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Maple Valley, their win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 2-4.

Looking ahead, Sand Creek is taking a road trip to challenge Cassopolis at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Maple Valley, they will host Stockbridge at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Lions will be up against the Panthers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 35.67 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
