Basketball Recap: Iredell Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Iredell was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 66-59 to the Morgan Eagles. The Dragons were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Iredell lost, don't look at Gavin Vara. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double with 36 points and ten boards. That was a full 61% of the Dragons' points, marking the fourth time in a row Vara has posted more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Kaden Vick, who scored 11 points and five rebounds.

Iredell's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Morgan, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Coming up, Iredell will challenge Jonesboro at 3:50 p.m. on Thursday. As for Morgan, they will face off against Walnut Springs at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
