Volleyball Recap: Mater Dei Takes a Loss

Mater Dei lost against Loyola on Saturday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Mater Dei fell 2-0 to Loyola.

Ben Smith paced Mater Dei's offense, picking up nine kills. Smith got some help from Jake Newman and his 24 assists.

Mater Dei's defeat dropped their record down to 17-10-2. As for Loyola, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 15-4.

Coming up, Mater Dei will face off against St. John Bosco at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Loyola, they will host Notre Dame (SO) at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
