Abington Heights extended their winning streak to seven on Saturday, bumping them up to 7-0. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Athens Wildcats. The Comets were shut out 1-0 the last time they took on the Wildcats, so the Comets were just returning the favor.

Abigail Macdonald paced Abington Heights' offense, picking up 13 kills. Macdonald got some help from Brielle Wentz and her 30 assists. Wentz also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Bella Carr, racking up three apiece.

As for Athens, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 1-7-1 record this season. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat they have suffered since August 26th.

Despite the loss, Athens still got an impressive performance from Kayla Forbes, who had 14 digs.

Abington Heights wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Lakeland on the 16th. As for Athens, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-1 loss against North Penn-Liberty on the 18th.
