Basketball Game Preview: Wiregrass Ranch Bulls vs. Vanguard Knights

Having just played yesterday, the Wiregrass Ranch Bulls will jump right back in to play the Vanguard Knights at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Wiregrass Ranch's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.

Wiregrass Ranch is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They strolled past Wesley Chapel with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 103-84.

It was another big night for Donovan Gaines, who almost dropped a double-double on 38 points and nine rebounds. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 16.5 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyden Wiley, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 13 boards.

Wiregrass Ranch was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Wesley Chapel only racked up 12 assists.

Meanwhile, Vanguard posted their biggest victory since January 23rd on Thursday. Everything went their way against Varsity Opponent as Vanguard made off with a 65-45 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Knights.

Vanguard has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 3-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.3 points per game. As for Wiregrass Ranch, they pushed their record up to 7-1 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season.
