Basketball Recap: Wayland Comes Up Short

Wayland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 63-61 heartbreaker at the hands of the Forest Hills Eastern Hawks. The Wildcats lost against the Hawks in their previous head to head back in February of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 84-60 score last time.

Wayland's loss dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Forest Hills Eastern, their victory ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-7.

Wayland has already played their next game, a 77-35 defeat against South Christian on the 24th. As for Forest Hills Eastern, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 65-63 loss against Forest Hills Central on the 24th.
