Volleyball Recap: Jones Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Bailey Bondoc and Jocelyn Rodriguez

Jones lost against Stephenville on Friday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Trojans fell just short of the Yellow Jackets/Honeybees by a score of 2-1. The Trojans' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Despite the defeat, Jones had strong showings from Jocelyn Rodriguez, who had 21 kills, and Bailey Bondoc, who had 18 digs and eight assists. With that strong performance, Rodriguez is now averaging an impressive 5.5 kills per game.

Jones' loss dropped their record down to 9-2. As for Stephenville, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 11-0.

Looking ahead, Jones will challenge Karnes City at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Stephenville, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Lorena at 5:00 p.m. on the 26th.
