Long Reach had to kick off their season on the road on Wednesday, but they showed no ill effects. They came out on top against the Atholton Raiders by a score of 11-8. The Lightning haven't had any issues with the Raiders recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

This is the second loss in a row for Atholton and nudges their season record down to 2-4.
