Basketball Recap: Temple Christian Academy Falls to Barnes Academy in First Game of Season

Temple Christian Academy unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They took a 78-63 bruising from the Barnes Academy Vikings on Tuesday. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it seven in a row.

When it comes to explaining why Temple Christian Academy lost, don't look at Carter Hall. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double with 32 points and 18 boards. Casey Merritt was another key player, going 9-for-17 en route to 21 points and five rebounds.

The win got Barnes Academy back to even at 2-2.

Temple Christian Academy has already played their next contest, an 89-51 victory against Varsity Opponent on the 14th. As for Barnes Academy, they will take on Our Lady of the Rosary at 7:30 p.m. on December 2.
