Basketball Recap: Temple Christian Academy Starts Season with Loss at Home

Temple Christian Academy unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. The contest between the Warriors and the Barnes Academy Vikings didn't end well, with the Warriors falling 78-63. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it seven in a row.

When it comes to explaining why Temple Christian Academy lost on Tuesday, don't look at Carter Hall. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double with 32 points and 18 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Casey Merritt, who shot 53% from the field en route to 21 points and five boards.

The win got Barnes Academy back to even at 2-2.

Temple Christian Academy and Barnes Academy will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matchups. The next time the Warriors see the court they'll take on Anderson Christian at 7:30 p.m. on December 2. As for Barnes Academy, their break will end when they face Our Lady of the Rosary at 7:30 p.m. on December 2.
