Football Recap: Fauquier Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Fauquier had lost three straight at home, but on Friday they dropped down to 1-5 to make it four. They were beaten by the Skyline Hawks 38-7. The Falcons were not able to make up for their defeat to the Hawks from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

As for Skyline, the win got them back to even at 3-3. The victory was familiar territory for they, who have now won three games in a row.

It was another big night for Zayden Burks, who rushed for 262 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 11.4 yards per carry. Skyline is undefeated when Burks posts two or more rushing touchdowns, but 0-3 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Dayshawn Haley, who rushed for 52 yards and one TD on only five carries.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Fauquier will face off against Warren County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Skyline, they will challenge Millbrook at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Hawks will be up against the Pioneers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 25.86 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
