It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Greenville ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They skirted past the Allendale Falcons 11-9. The victory was familiar territory for the Yellow Jackets, who have now won seven matchups in a row.

Noah Long was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Ezekiel (Zeke) Robinet, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.

Greenville's win was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-1. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.9 runs over those games. As for Allendale, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Allendale beat Greenville by a score of 8-2 on Wednesday.
