 The Caliche Buffaloes struggled with  threes on Tuesday (the Y Yuma had eight more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Caliche was outmatched by Y at home  and fell  72-32. Caliche has struggled against Y recently, as their  matchup on Tuesday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
 Caliche's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Orran Adolf, who  scored five points along with five  rebounds.
 Y found their leader in underclassman  Brody Sheffield, who  dropped  a double-double on 14 points and ten  rebounds. Another player making a difference was  Cristian Duarte, who  scored 13 points along with two  steals.
 Caliche has  not been sharp recently as the team has  lost nine of their last 11 contests,  which put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record  this season. As for Y, their victory bumped their record up to 15-3.
 Caliche will be playing in front of their home fans against Briggsdale at 4:00  p.m.  on Saturday. Hopefully Caliche focused on turnovers this week  since the team gave up 22 on Tuesday. As for Y, they will head out on the road to  take on  Byers at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Byers is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
