Arcata had to kick off their season on the road on Saturday, but they showed no ill effects. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Lassen Grizzlies. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Grizzlies recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Pearl Smith paced Arcata's offense, picking up six kills. Smith got some help from Harper Appy and her 16 assists. Kyla Kinyon controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.

Lassen has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season.

Arcata has already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Etna on the 24th. As for Lassen, they will face off against Red Bluff at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
