Volleyball Recap: Carrollton Picks Up Sixth Consecutive Win

Carrollton entered their tilt with Holden on Tuesday with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Eagles. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

Carrollton had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 13-25, 25-16, 25-20, 25-13.

Jenna Owen paced Carrollton's offense, picking up ten kills. Owen got some help from Kinsey Fisher and her 23 assists. Kacie Swearingin controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.

Carrollton's win bumped their record up to 15-6. As for Holden, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last 11 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-15-1 record this season.

Carrollton has already played their next match, a 3-1 victory against Lafayette County on the 9th. As for Holden, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Knob Noster on the 9th.
