Baseball Recap: McNary Comes Up Short

McNary was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 12-11 heartbreaker at the hands of the South Eugene Axe.

Jeremiah Tracy was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one triple. Those runs were his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Xavier Gonzalez, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.

McNary's record now sits at 3-14. As for South Eugene, with the win, they broke their 11-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-13.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. McNary will head out to square off against West Salem at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Celtics are facing the Titans at the right time seeing as the Titans are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for South Eugene, they are taking a road trip to take on Grants Pass at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
