Basketball Recap: Hylton Comes Up Short

Hylton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were beaten by the Charles J. Colgan Sharks 68-40. The Bulldogs were probably out for revenge after losing 86-66 to them when the teams met back in February of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Despite the defeat, Hylton saw an underclassman step up: freshman Kaleb Swanigan posted nine points and eight boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Marshall Scarborough Iv, who scored nine points.

Hylton's loss dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Charles J. Colgan, they pushed their record up to 9-4 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Hylton has already played their next contest (against Woodbridge), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Charles J. Colgan has also has no score uploaded for their next match, this one against Potomac Senior.
