Recap: University Cougars vs. Timber Creek Wolves
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the University Cougars can now relate to. They were dealt a 67-33 loss at the hands of the Wolves on Monday. University's loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.
Timber Creek's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Serene Exalant, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds and five steals. Another player making a difference was Channing Warren, who scored 17 points along with seven rebounds and four blocks.
University dropped their record down to 9-12 with that loss, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Timber Creek, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 16-9 record this season.
University does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Timber Creek, they will play host again and welcome Boone, where tip off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Florida (Timber Creek is ranked 44th, while Boone is ranked 31st).
