Baseball Recap: Cathedral Comes Up Short

Cathedral fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Bishop Montgomery on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Knights by a score of 3-2. The Phantoms were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Knights earlier this season, when they won 5-0.

Cathedral saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lucius Mika, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

Cathedral's loss dropped their record down to 9-4. As for Bishop Montgomery, they now have a winning record of 9-8.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Cathedral will square off against rival St. Anthony at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Bishop Montgomery is set to take on their familiar foe St. Monica at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
